DGS is proud to offer a unique opportunity for submitters to have their coins graded by renowned
numismatic experts in their field. We are very careful to only select those experts that we feel
are extremely qualified in specific series. Sometimes, an expert is focused in just one area,
while others may cover a number of series.
When you submit under the Signature Series tier, you will pay a little more for the service, but the
credibility you will gain is well worth the added cost.
While we are currently working to sign up more experts, we have already enlisted the following
Signature Series experts with a short bio. Please contact us if you have any questions or comments.

Rick is president of Eagle Eye Rare Coins of Tucson, AZ and has specialized in Flying Eagle and Indian Cents since 1992. Eagle Eye consistently sells over $2 million worth of Flying Eagle and Indian Cents per year - all selectively to collectors, not to other dealers.

The need for this has been confirmed by the recent start-up of the CAC. Rick´s commitment to accurate grading and consistency has been proven by the success of the Eagle Eye Photo Seal.
Rick is the co-founder (1992) and past President of the Flying Eagle and Indian Cent Collectors Society (the Fly-In Club). Currently Rick is the Attributor for that organization. Any new variety submitted through Dominion for variety service will be guaranteed the new variety designation if it is warranted.

Bill Bugert
Signature Series:
Liberty Seated Half Dollars
Seated Half Dollars (Proof)
|
About this expert...
|
Bill Bugert started collecting coins as a teenager in Toledo, Ohio. He would mow lawns to support his first numismatic interest, V-nickels. During that time, his maternal grandmother gave him his first Liberty Seated Half Dollar, a VG 1858-O. This coin was responsible for starting a lifelong interest in and passion for that series which continues to this day.

In 1973, once out of college and now earning more disposable income to support his hobby, he concentrated on purchasing Liberty Seated Halves. This led to joining the Liberty Seated Collectors Club and researching and documenting the various die varieties. In 1984, Bill and Randy Wiley, another recognized expert in Liberty Seated Half Dollars, met and together they continue to encourage each other to higher levels of collecting and researching. In the late 1980´s, both spent many long hours researching and documenting die shipment records and other 1800´s information in the Mint records in the National Archives. This information helped to bracket the number of possible dies available on the half dollar coins. His goal is to own a coin from every Liberty Seated Half Dollar die marriage.
In 1992, Bill co-authored (with Randy) the hardbound reference, The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Half Dollars, the authoritative reference published by DLRC. As a continuing effort, Bill is documenting all known Liberty Seated Half Dollar die marriages and has a vast reference collection.
Bill is the Vice-President of the Liberty Seated Collectors Club (member since 1979), Life member of the ANA (member since 1976), and member of the John Reich Collectors Society, Early American Coppers, and the Numismatic Bibliomania Society. He is extensively published in many numismatic periodicals. Most recently, he completed and published the results of his extensive research on the life and interests of Martin Luther Beistle, the author of the 1929 reference, A Registry of Half Dollar Varieties and Sub-Varieties. Additionally Bill is the moderator of the Seated Half Dollar question and answer message board on Gerry Fortin´s website www.seatedimevarieties.com.
Professionally, Bill is a retired US Army Signal Corps Officer and a retired (from Northrop Grumman) managing engineer for satellite systems.
Bill resides in Gettysburg, PA with his wife, Judy, and their seven cats.
